My personal home - a wonderful testament to the power of paint & the right furnishings and lighting to achieve the aesthetic you want, without gutting. Our kitchen was very outdated and didn’t properly utilize the space as functionally as it should, but the existing wood cabinets were in great shape as well as the flooring. Rather than gut, we decided to add on cabinets to our island and exterior facing wall, maximizing our storage and prep space and removing dead zones in the room. We also removed the kitchen desk area, and replaced with custom wood bin drawers. Replacing a few upper cabinets with floating shelves opened the space and gave us the display of every day items we wanted to show off. We added a bench by our back porch doors, vertical paneling to all the walls & honed black granite countertops for a durable solution that could withstand wear and tear of two wild boys. Cabinets painted in Mouses’s Back by Farrow and ball, uppers in Baby Fawn by Benjamin Moore.Previously an all white home.
